Common questions

Backpacks questions

  • What capacity in liters do I actually need?

Daily commute or gym kit usually fits in 18 to 25 liters. A long training day with extra layers and food fits in 30 to 40 liters. Multi-day or travel runs 45 liters and up. Each PDP lists capacity in liters plus a load list (laptop, hydration, helmet) so you can compare against what you actually carry.

  • Hydration sleeve compatibility?

Most training-oriented packs accept a 1.5 to 3 liter reservoir, with a sleeve plus a hose port. Daily-carry packs often skip the reservoir but still hold a soft flask in a side pocket. Each PDP lists hydration compatibility so you don't end up with a great pack and no way to drink from it.

  • Are athletic packs comfortable for non-athletic use?

Most are. The harness systems on running and cycling packs are usually more comfortable than generic backpacks for daily wear, especially with weight. Trade-offs are aesthetics (athletic packs look athletic) and pocket layout (less office-friendly). Pick by use case, not by photo.
