Common questions

Cycling questions

  • How do I pick the right saddle width?

Saddle width matches sit-bone width, not body weight. Most adults fall in the 130 to 155 mm range. Many bike shops can measure sit bones for free; once you know the number, every PDP lists the saddle width so you can match by spec rather than guess.

  • Are SPD-SL and Look Keo cleats interchangeable?

No. SPD-SL is Shimano's road three-bolt system; Look Keo is Look's three-bolt system. They look similar but the bolt spacing and float behavior differ. Check the cleat spec on every shoe and pedal PDP and match systems before checkout.

  • Do helmets expire?

Yes. Most cycling helmet manufacturers recommend replacement every 3 to 5 years even without a crash, because EPS foam degrades from UV and sweat exposure. After any meaningful impact, replace immediately. CPSC and EN 1078 certifications on every helmet PDP confirm what standard the model is built to.
