Size Guide
pickleball fit.
Pickleball apparel is identical to tennis apparel in cut and sizing. Paddles are weight + grip-size choices, not by player size. Court shoes are critical — running shoes have the wrong outsole and lateral movement will roll an ankle.
Apparel
Same matrix as tennis. Polo + skirt or shorts + activewear top — most pickleball brands use unisex sizing.
| Size | Chest (in) | Waist (in) |
|---|---|---|
| S | 35–37 | 29–31 |
| M | 38–40 | 32–34 |
| L | 41–43 | 35–37 |
| XL | 44–46 | 38–40 |
| XXL | 47–49 | 41–43 |
Paddle grip size
Same measurement as tennis: palm-bottom-crease to ring-finger-tip in inches.
| Grip size | Hand size |
|---|---|
| 4 in | Junior / very small adult |
| 4 1/8" | Small adult |
| 4 1/4" | Most women / small men |
| 4 3/8" | Most men |
| 4 1/2" | Large hands |
Paddle weight
| Weight class | Use case |
|---|---|
| Lightweight (7.0–7.6 oz) | Beginner / fast hands at the kitchen |
| Mid-weight (7.6–8.4 oz) | All-around — most players |
| Heavy (8.4+ oz) | Power players / drive-heavy game |
Fit notes
- Court shoes only. Tennis shoes work; running shoes do not — the outsole has no lateral support and the heel-toe drop will roll ankles.
- Between grip sizes? Go down — overgrip wraps add 1/16" each. Going up means rebuilding the handle.
- Indoor vs outdoor balls are different. Outdoor balls (40 holes, harder plastic) are heavier and faster. Don't mix.
